This collection of known musicians scored a double platinum hit with the debut album and a minor one with its second album. The band was later deemed not real and a mere project which prompted the label to issue a release defending the band's integrity. After much delay a new Damn Yankees album was announced for 2000 by Portrait, but the label dropped the band in that year and the announced date passed.
