History
Illinois' Deaden was formed in 1992 by high school friends drummer
Ethan
Deppe and guitarist Drew Stockman as an outlet for fun. By 1994 a band,
the
group released a two song demo in that year. A demo was recorded in
1995
but was never let out of the cage as the band found the results
dissatisfying. A
couple of member changes later and the end of 1995 saw another two song
tape come to light. Hungry for more a proper tape called Feast on
The Flesh Of The Dead was released in the summer of 1996. This resulted
in an independent CD called Hymns Of The Sick from 1997. Recording for
another
CD, tentatively called Displaying The Art Of Carnage, was placed on
hold
in 1999 after the development of tendonitis by drummer Deppe. 2004's
Feast On The Flesh Of The Dead featured the demo of the same name and
several live songs. The band broke up, reformed and lost Von Young to
Lividity.
