History

Killers was another name for another venture by former Iron maiden singer Paul Di’Anno. Following the relative lack of success of Battlezone the vocalist formed Killers in 1991 – named after the Maiden album of the same name. Killer was quite heavy in delivery, although Di’Anno never shied away from playing Maiden tunes. The group initially featured Raven bassist John Gallagher, although despite John’s early departure the personnel was mainly former NWOBHMers.
Menace To Society was considered both heavy and influenced by Pantera. The album did not sell well and lead to the disbandment of Killers. Live was issued in 1997, but recorded during the tours of 1995. Live At The Whiskey was a belated attempt to cash in on an era and a band that had ceased to exist. A compilation of the band’s work was issued in 2002.
