Kublai Khan was the thrash metal band of former Megadeth guitarist Handevidt. He had relocated to Minnesota (ironically the home state of Megadeth bassist Dave Ellefson and where the two had a band called Goz at an early age) from Los Angeles and formed Kublai Khan.

The band issued a demo called Clash of The Swords before obtaining a contract with Shark Records. Par for the course the album found no promotion and the band split up two years thereafter. Idso and Handevidt reformed the band in 2003. Exit Only Records reissued the band’s only album.
