Formed in the smug of Los Angeles circa 2003 Lightning Swords Of Death took on an underground black/thrash metal style. A four-track demo called Plunder & Lightning appeared in 2005. Blackmetal.com issued The Golden Plague in 2007. A split with Valdur came in 2008 before the band and Metal Blade joining together in 2009.

The band’s name refers to the film of the same name.
