History & Biography
Based in the Hesse state of Germany Morbid Jester is a power/speed metal band formed in 1988 as a punk act called Milzbrand with singer Matthias Georg. The change of names and style came less than two years later. The group entered a local battle-of-the-bands and landed in second place. The band issued a demo called First Audience in 1992 before following up with Until the Battle Is Won (produced by S. L. Coe) two years later and Irony Of Fate two years after that. The group signed a deal with Iron Glory and issued an album in 1999. Steffan Scholl sang on the album, but left in 2000. His replacement, Stefan Eichert, lasted two years before dying due to a work accident. Allan Bunnell was on vocals next. The band had a promo CD in 2013 and reissued its debut demo in 2014. Texan Allan Bunnell was on vocals and was recruited from a covers' band. Chris Bunnell was on second guitar. Chris is Allan's son. Chris would be replaced by Davin Schuh in 2017.

A further album was issued in late 2016. Something Wicked was released by Mighty Monster and Battle Cry. The band appeared at Swordbrothers Festival 2019 and called it a 30th anniversary commemoration. A concert in September of 2022 was cancelled due to illness. Another concert in Aachen, Germany in December of 2022 was also cancelled owing to a double booking, but the band found several gigs in 2023.

King’s Head had its demo engineered by S.L. Coe of C.O.E, Scanner and Angel Dust fame.
