RESECTION – ZENITH – UNMATCHED BRUTALITY  
Resection, a new name in the annals of underground death metal, is a grunting explosion of brutality with some comparisons to Lividity, Dying Fetus, Disgorge and Fleshgrind, Unlike label-mates Heinous Killings the Germans have a riff or two to contribute and have the advantage of a living drummer. The vocals are of the ‘tunnel of wind’ variety coming across like the demonic howls of a haunted boar. The music speeds at 666 kph, yet considering the cover artwork, titles and some of the lyrics Resection could easily be termed life metal. The topics covered range from pollution to corporate behaviour.
Resection is fast, heavy and grinding as hell, but still has enough riffing and rhythm to be considered metal (and not noise). The band should turn up the music’s mix next time however. – Ali “The Metallian”
