History & Biography
The USA has a penchant for Christian bands given the dominance of moneyed churches, the level of education and indoctrinating media backed by mega donations. One of the early white metal acts out of this country was Sacred Warrior, which was founded in 1986. Several members came from an act called Nomad. The story went that Bruce Swift found Jesus Christ and converted the others. The 12 Track Demo arrived in 1987. Demo #2 followed. The group attracted comparisons to Queensryche.

The debut album was called Rebellion and arrived in 1988 and was on the white metal label Intense Records. The first song here was called Black Metal. Obsessions added second guitarist John Johnson. The band toured Europe. An independent 7" in 1994 was called New World Order and featured the songs C'mon and Day By Day. The act disbanded and only emerged with a live album in 2001. This was on another Christian label. Keyboardist Rick Macias died in 2009. The new follow-up imprint Intense Millennium Records reissued Rebellion in 2010.

Another hiatus led to the 2013 demo, Waiting In Darkness. Eli Prinsen was the singer. This was pressed on LP by Retroactive Records in 2021. Tom Sanderson was the newest keyboard player. Ray Parra returned again in 2023 after leaving in 2012. The singer was living in Florida, while the other members were in Chicago. The group appeared at Keep It True festival in Germany and reported working on new music in 2024. The band was also touring the USA. The group stated it was working on a new record in 2025 as well. Retroactive Records reissued Sacred Warrior's Rebellion and Wicked Generation on vinyl in 2026.
