STILLBORN - NECROSPIRITUALS - RADIUM 226.05
Stillborn is a doom metal band with a different disposition. The music complies with the epic doom metal of Candlemass and, to some extent, Black Sabbath. The vocals though take a more melancholic path. The singer is probably best described as inspired by the likes of Bauhaus and Sisters Of Mercy. The man is wretched! Oddly enough opening song, Nuke 'Em All, has a strong Ted Nugent flavour. That quite possibly explains the song's title though. Then comes a song like I, The Stillborn which is outright heavy and metallic.
The band has a cult status in some quarters - which is fair enough - but the CD might be too difficult to find. - Ali "The Metallian"
