VICIOUS MARY - same - FRONTIERS
One could not exactly call this vicious. How about Melodic Mary? Vicious Mary hails from Italy and is the hard rock side-project of Eldritch musicians Terence Holler and Sean Henderson. The debut is indeed a good one. The melodies are infectious and the hooks work. The band regretfully employs keyboards; not to the point of distraction. With the flashy guitars whizzing all over the place there is a good element of Van Halen and Dokken (Crazy Mary?) to this. The Euro-melodies and keyboards also invite something of an Avantasia and Shadow Keep into the fray. Those hard rockers out there into something beyond mere party music should check this out.
